Meet Kate Kemp
she/her/hers
Hi, I’m Kate. I understand that seeking counselling can take a lot of courage, so I am glad you’re here to explore ways to achieve your well-being and personal growth.
From my own experiences, I’ve developed a strong passion for supporting others. My own journey through counselling has shown me just how powerful therapy can be. I genuinely believe that everyone, no matter what they've been through, has incredible inner strength and the potential to heal and live a fulfilling life.
My approach to counselling is to meet you where you are, offering a safe, non-judgmental and supportive environment to explore your concerns. My specialities include anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), relationship and sexual difficulties. I work with individuals of all genders, sexual orientations, age, ethnicity, or disability, providing support and understanding tailored to each person's unique experiences and needs.
I am a Therapist and Registered Social Worker that provides Adult Counselling services in British Columbia, Canada. My approaches include EMDR, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), somatic integration, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and a trauma informed perspective.
I continuously learn and grow in my personal and professional life, including through my experiences as a wife, daughter, sister, and friend. When I’m not in the counselling room, you might catch me biking, browsing charming bookshops and purchasing books I’ll probably never read, or enjoying quality time with family and friends!
Reach out to me and let’s work together to find the path forward that’s right for you.
