Welcome to Kelowna EMDR Clinic

 

Ours is the first counselling clinic in the Okanagan focused on EMDR as part of trauma-centered therapy.

 

At Kelowna EMDR Clinic, our goal is to be the trusted home for EMDR therapy in our community and region. We’ve built a warm, supportive environment that helps clients feel safe, and we attract skilled EMDR therapists and allied health professionals who are committed to making a difference.

Ashley Phillips

MEd (Counselling), CCC

Ashley is the founder of Kelowna EMDR Clinic. In her career, Ashley has seen how often unresolved trauma underlies current mental health struggles like anxiety and depression. Drawn to the proven effectiveness of EMDR, and with no trauma-focused clinical space in town, Ashley founded Kelowna EMDR Clinic to offer high-quality EMDR therapy alongside a team equally committed to lasting, trauma-informed healing.

Alicia Gonzalez

B.A, MSW, RSW

Alicia is a Registered Social Worker and EMDR therapist. She works with youth and young adults experiencing anxiety, depression, loneliness, shame, lack of motivation, low self-worth, emotional awareness and regulation, relocation and cultural adaptation, academic stress, and perfectionism. Alicia grounds her practice in evidence-based approaches like EMDR, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Internal Family Systems Therapy.

Bryanna MacLaren

MSW, RSW

Bryanna is Registered Social Worker, EMDR trained Therapist and active member with EMDR International Association. Her clinical area of experience includes Adverse Childhood Experiences & Complex PTSD. Prior to becoming a trauma-based therapist, she practiced in various areas of Social Work including Hospital, Victim Services, Community Service Non-Profits and the Child Welfare System. Such experiences have deeply informed her commitment to supporting individuals through complex and often systemic challenges. She practices from an attachment-based approach, integrating principles from Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT) to support healing and foster resilience in those she works with.

Sam Hanley

MA, MEd, RCC

Sam is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with a Masters in Education. She works with clients of all ages and specializes in anxiety, life transitions, neurodiversity, and identity development. Drawing on CBT, Somatic Experiencing, and Mindfulness, Sam creates a supportive space for healing, growth, and meaningful change. She has expertise with Autism Spectrum Disorder and provides family support, including teaching essential life skills, socio-emotional learning, self-regulation, and effective communication.

Suzanne Noel

BScN, MPH, MA, RCC

Suzanne is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with a Masters in Public Health and EMDR therapist. She strives to provide a compassionate and healing space where she gets to know her clients and their individual situations. Suzanne works with adults experiencing symptoms such anxiety, trauma, phobias, grief, or fear of change that is preventing them from moving forward and making meaningful changes in their lives. Suzanne also works with couples who have trouble connecting, or find themselves struggling with closeness and intimacy.

MSW, RSW

Janice is a Registered Social Worker and an EMDR therapist, and has been practicing social work for over 20 years with a variety of populations. She has supported many individuals living with emotional pain, attachment wounds, chronic stress, burnout, anxiety, depression, infertility, loneliness, isolation, shame, guilt, loss, grief, fear, frustration, sense of not belonging, losses of identity, lack of self-compassion and purpose. Her specialties include chronic stress & burnout, displacement & isolation, anxiety & depression, loss & grief, and infertility.

Clinic Manager

A main point of contact, Jeannette touches on most aspects of daily life at our clinic. With a background in communications and management plus a diploma in counselling, she works in the space between therapy and business. You'll connect with Jeannette in the office, by email, or on the phone.

Ashley is the founder of the Kelowna EMDR clinic and has more than 10 years of experience working with individuals and groups to create meaningful change in their lives.

An EMDR certified therapist, Ashley specializes in PTSD &

C-PTSD, recent traumatic events, perinatal death, binge eating disorders and phobias & fears (e.g. needles, spiders, heights, flying, enclosed spaces).
