Meet Suzanne Noel
she/her/hers
As a Registered Clinical Counsellor, I strive to provide a compassionate and healing space to get to know each of my clients and their individual situations. I can use my professional skills and experience to help me understand how I can support you to attain your personal goals.
For Adults: If you feel you have been doing the work to improve yourself and your well-being, yet you feel stuck and you still can't seem to shake those feelings of dread or anxiety in certain situations, I can help you uncover the underlying cause. Together we can decide the best approach for you moving forward.
For Couples: If your relationship is struggling and it seems that when you do try to connect with each other, old arguments arise and the same cycle repeats and ultimately it feels like you are getting further apart, I can help you navigate this and reconnect.
I have a strong focus on Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) in my practice, especially with those who have experienced trauma. ART is a transformative method that provides rapid relief from trauma, stress, anxiety, and many other emotional struggles. Because ART typically achieves significant results in just a few sessions, it is a very effective way to move through mental health challenges in an efficient and effective way. ART is rooted in the same neuroscience to EMDR and has been scientifically proven. ART also targets everyday stresses that keep you from living your best life. When used with regular individual counselling sessions, it can help you achieve your goals much more quickly than talk therapy alone. ART can be used in conjunction with standard therapy to help treat: PTSD/cPTSD, anxiety, depression, grief, phobias, OCD, dyslexia, chronic pain triggers, fear of change, generalized Worry, ADHD, eating disorders, and performance anxiety.
Originally from Alberta, I moved to the Okanagan in 2011 and I can happily say I now consider this home. Outside of counselling I enjoy being outdoors, golfing, hiking, and taking in the many markets, wineries, and events around town.
